5 themes we’ll explore at this year’s Benefex Forum

25-04-2024

With a stellar line-up of speakers, a product launch, and our new research report hot off the press, this year’s Benefex Forum will be bigger and better than ever before. We’re introducing breakout sessions across three streams: Experience, Global and Wellbeing & Culture to bring you more insights, more topics, and more incredible guest speakers.

To give you an idea of the actionable takeaways you’ll be walking away with, here are 5 key themes we’ll explore on the day:

1. The big trends in employee experience

With 81% of employees valuing their employee experience more than a year ago, our experience steam is all about what employees really want from their experiences at work, and what you can do to deliver on their evolving needs.

We’ll unpack the findings from our latest research which reveals a growing perception gap between what employees and employers think of the employee experience. As well as sharing actionable strategies to enhance your approach to reward and benefits, we’ll explore how to cater to, communicate with, and engage all employee demographics – including deskless and global populations.

As the number one thing employees want to see from benefits is greater flexibility, Benefex Founder and CEO, Matt Macri-Waller and Chief Product Officer, Daniel Holle, will share how a new Benefex product will make this easier than ever…

2. How to make a success of digital transformation

Digital transformation is a theme we’ll cover across multiple sessions – as we explore how digital reward, benefits, recognition and wellbeing tech can create the experiences employees expect.

Sharon Doherty, Chief People & Places Officer at Lloyds Banking Group will share her experience and insights in her session, ‘Rebooting Lloyds Banking Group, preparing our people for a Fintech future’. From the challenges they’ve overcome moving from legacy platforms to the pivotal role of their People & Places team in driving change, and why personalisation is key to creating a standout colleague experience, this session is sure to be a highlight.

3. How to create a truly global reward strategy

An exceptional employee benefits experience is foundational to your ability to attract and motivate the very best people; our global stream is dedicated to helping organisations do exactly that – regardless of where they’re located.

Benefex’s Global Benefits Director, Paul Andrews, will explore our latest research through a global lens. He’ll reveal the differences in what employees think of their experience at work based on where they are in the world, and the strategies the reward function is adopting in response.

Benefex customers from Alter Domus, Splunk, and Businessolver will also share insights and learnings from their global benefits tech rollouts to help make your implementation a success, wherever you are in your global benefits journey. And we’ll explore how to balance local and global requirements and leverage global benefits data to drive success.

4. The strategic focus on workplace wellbeing and culture

With 84% of employers recognising the critical role of wellbeing support in providing a stellar employee experience, it’s clear why we’re dedicating a whole stream to wellbeing and culture at the Forum.

From how to shape organisational culture through employee benefits, to how to put wellbeing at the core of your EVP, speakers from Bupa, HSBC and Virgin Atlantic will share their successes – and the things they’ve learned along the way. They’ll also answer questions like: What can businesses do to take wellbeing more seriously? What can you do to support employee financial wellbeing? And how can you make sure your strategy caters to different demographics?

And with so many wellbeing solutions on the market, our Chief Innovation Officer and Mental Health Campaigner of the Year 2023, Gethin Nadin, and his team will be debunking the hype around workplace wellbeing apps and exploring the merits of brief, low-intensity digital wellbeing interventions.

5. How to create high performing teams

There’s no doubt that EVP plays a crucial role in employee engagement and performance – and ultimately business success. So, several sessions will look at how to differentiate your offering and align your EVP with your mission, values and culture.

Our final keynote session of the day will be hosted by, Damian Hughes, Professor of Organisational Psychology and Change and co-host of the High Performance Podcast. In his session, ‘High performing work environments for high performing teams’, Damian will share practical advice to help you create and sustain high-performing cultures within your teams.

We can’t wait…
