Konica Minolta is a business technologies company. Their services cover a wide range of things, including IT services and consultancy, commercial and industrial printing, optical systems for industrial use, functional materials, and a healthcare business.

What are Konica Minolta’s benefits objectives at the moment?

“Our benefits offering has evolved a lot in the last few years, as the needs of the business have changed.  

For example, we’re increasingly focussed on DEI which is shaping our benefits offering because we want to be able to offer the right benefits for all our employees. The expectations of younger people have also increased exponentially, so our benefits programme needs to be able to attract and engage the best talent.  

And we’ve been looking to create more anytime engagement with benefits, so employees aren’t just accessing the site at enrolment, but seeing it as a useful resource where they can go to access information and support.” 

You’ve been levelling up your benefits communications. Can you tell us about that?  

“We’ve done a lot to improve our benefits communications. This year we’ve launched a monthly benefit spotlight to support benefits engagement year-round. This involves putting posts out into our All Colleague communication Teams Channels, and collaborating with providers on webinars and competitions. The more engaging we can make the spotlights, the better! 

We’ve also gone live with OneHub Home – which also supports our overall benefits strategy.”  

What’s OneHub Home helping you to achieve?

“We were one of the first customers to adopt OneHub Home – and it’s been great to be a part of that process as our feedback is helping to shape the product.  

OneHub Home supports our anytime benefits engagement strategy. With Home, we’re expanding the use of our benefits platform, so it now acts as more of an everyday resource and one-stop-shop for employees.  

The best feature for us is being able to link out to other documents and apps, in regard to all of the things we have on offer here at Konica Minolta, including our wellbeing offering, learning opportunities and other benefits for our employees. There is an opportunity available to us to use the feed as well where we can promote our benefits. 

I love the flexibility and control it’s giving me, as I can customise the apps and interface. It means that we can keep Home as up to date and as engaging as possible.” 

Results

What results have you been able to achieve with OneHub?

“At the last enrolment in January of this year, 81% of employees logged onto the platform, 78% viewed a benefit, and 53% selected a benefit – which is some of the best engagement we’ve seen. We’re really hoping that we will be able to level up on the percentage of people that are submitting benefits, and our ever evolving benefit offering will help us to get there.   

And on average, we see about 26% of employees logging onto the portal on a monthly basis. We are hoping to improve this percentage by doing our Monthly Spotlights throughout the year.” 

What’s it been like working with Benefex?  

“I love working with Benefex! I’ve worked with lots of different team members over the last five years and the collaborative culture is excellent. That sense of partnership has really grown, and I think we have achieved a lot since working together. I look forward to renewals year on year!”
