How Deloitte embedded a culture of wellbeing with OneHub Wellbeing
Deloitte, a global accountancy firm, rolled out OneHub Wellbeing to almost 2,000 of its UK and Irish employees. It was implemented at their offices across Ireland and Northern Ireland, covering Belfast, Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick. OneHub Wellbeing helps organisations overcome barriers to wellbeing engagement with targeted and relevant wellbeing resources.
“The one good thing about OneHub Wellbeing is it's at your fingertips, it's on your phone... The app is so easy to download and it's an easy way for people to check in on their health and wellbeing on a daily and weekly basis.”

The Strategy
Understanding what employees need
“At Deloitte Ireland – we have our own initiatives; we have our own strategy. We don’t just follow [Deloitte] global. We have our own member firms, North/South Europe, where Ireland sits. I suppose the most important thing we do now is ask our people what they want, check in, and do our Pulse surveys. We have a quarterly Engage for Change [survey] that’s anonymous and people can put their verbatim comments in, or they can tell us how they’re feeling and rate us honestly. And I think you’re going nowhere if you’re not asking people about what they want. You can’t do it all, but you can review and improve where possible and we review constantly because it’s constantly changing.”
Building a culture of wellbeing
“Our wellbeing strategy is mapped across key pillars – including physical health, mental health, spiritual health. I also feel financial wellbeing and financial literacy are key as well. That’s prevalent now and it’s definitely something that we need to continue looking at down the line.”
“Something that we’ve also done at Deloitte is get sponsorship from leaders. So, we have six inclusion networks in the D&I space: Pride, Multicultural, Parents, Gender Balance, and so on. And we have sponsoring partners for each of those areas. They’re showing up, they’re invested in this area, they’re representing, and they’re at the fore of these initiatives.”
“We also have an amazing group of Mental Health First Aider champions, an amazing mental health network, and a committee that runs initiatives such as milestone events. The network run the initiatives for World Mental Health Day, Mental Health Week, and I get to look at the strategy and see what we’re doing within each of the business units.”
Bringing together wellbeing and inclusivity
“Our policies are obviously part of our strategy; we have a flexible working and work-life balance policy. We have some great systems in place as well as the OneHub Wellbeing app. One thing that we introduced in the last couple of years was the Inclusion Passport. It’s like a digital stamp, and should you need an accommodation met (whether you need to finish work early to collect kids, or you’re neurodiverse) you document it. You have a conversation with your team leader or coach, then you digitally document your accommodations in our Workday system, and it appears in this digital passport. It’s done once so you don’t need to keep having a difficult conversation.”

Using OneHub Wellbeing to support employees
“The one good thing about OneHub Wellbeing is it’s at your fingertips, it’s on your phone. When you’re on public transport on the way home, or you’re at home in the evening, you can log in to the app and think about, ‘how am I doing today?’ The app is so easy to download and it’s an easy way for people to check in on their health and wellbeing on a daily and weekly basis.”
“What’s really beneficial are the sleep exercises and the breath work, but also Life, blogs, and the move-on-demand fitness. There’s so much flexibility – people aren’t just in the office, they can work out from home when, where and how they like with move-on-demand fitness through this platform.”
“OneHub Wellbeing is one of two apps that we offer to people. We don’t force them to download it; it’s there as an option should they need it. I would say having something like this is great to bring together your offering in a central place. And it’s had really good usage. It was COVID that kick-started this app for us, and I have to say, I was delighted when this app came on board – because we really needed that help during COVID when people couldn’t leave their houses. This was a really great offering that we were able to use.”
